In Montreal, easily. A large percentage of the population there speak English as their main language.

Everywhere else, people would try to accommodate you the best they can but you would most likely find it hard. Most of the incident between French and English Canadians in Quebec come from the fact that people expect to be served in English in rural Quebec. It doesn't work like that. French people don't expect to be served in French in Saskatchewan. If you accept that and approach people politely, you won't have any troubles!

It would help if you could say a couple of words in French. Just starting a conversation with "bonjour" before switching to English would be a proof of goodwill. :)

Enjoy your stay!

Yes. But it's certainly going to be harder for you to find a job than a bilingual person. Anyone who deals with the public in Quebec is expected toe be able to speak French.

The company I work for in Montreal deals primarily with US customers. Some of the employees do only speak English, so they deal with those customers. The staff that is bilingual handles any customers from French-speaking regions, such as Quebec or parts of Europe.

I also know a young lady who moved to Canada from South America. She speaks English and Spanish, and she was able to get a job in Montreal that handles phone support for companies in southern USA, where they need people who can understand those two languages.

The western part of Quebec has many anglophone-only jobs. Montreal has a good portion of English-only jobs.

Can be a cleaner and maid i guess, something that doesn't deal with public interaction is the safest bet

In some of the smaller places there ae some pockets of mainly English speaking communities.Like The Pontiac in west Quebec and then in some o the off-island suburbs of Montreal like Hudson.

Yes, but your options will be limited as basically everyone in Quebec speaks French. Montreal is bilingual. Some areas are pretty much just English, but still they speak French.

There are jobs for English speakers but they tend to be at a higher or much lower level. Out of the cities there isn't much.

Technically, yes, but, it is getting more and more difficult. Low end jobs can be found, and really high ones, but, these are really the extreme ends of life.

Yes you can and there are the rare opportunity, but it would be very difficult in other aspects.
